February 7, 2019 Staniel Cay

February 7, 2019

9:00am-  Departed Land & Sea Park and heading to Staniel Cays. What a gorgeous sail.  The winds are 15-20 and we are going on a beam reach 6.5 in with only the head sail.
We see motor boats going by and wondering how much fuel are they burning.
At 10:00 we were going by Johnny Depp island "Little Ponds Hall Cay".

There were many boats on the move today.
We arrived at Staniel Cay around noon and covere 19.1 km.
Had lunch then we went to Staniel Cay marina to bring our garbage.  We then stopped in at the bar and had a few drinks.  The FPYC burgee which we hung up in the bar was still here.  We talked to Amy and Richard from Alpha Lyra sailing vessel.  Very nice couple.

Stopped for drinks
At the Staniel Cay bar

FPYC burgee still here

Someone flying his drone from the boat

Steve went snorkeling in the Thunderbolt Grotto.  Later Brad and Rick joined him.

After dinner during sunset, we watched a guy fly his drone from his boat.

What a gorgeous sunset.  Watched a movie and then read before bed.
