February 12, 2019 - Cave Cay

February 12, 2019

WHAT A NIGHT!  The boat was all over the place.  Steve and I didn’t get much sleep.  It was rocking so much we could hear the water slushing in our water tanks below our bed.  It was crazy.  Glad I have my sea legs.  The winds are supposed to calm right down by Wednesday.
Rick and Sharon on Orkan
Left Great Guana around noon with Brad and Rick.  Arrived at Cave Cay around 3pm and covered 15.42kt.  It was a little tricky going by Farmers Cay due to the depth and the rocks.   Rick draws 6ft and we draw 5.6.

As we were anchoring, Steve pointed out a rainbow as we were approaching our spot.
We took our dinghy followed by Brad and Rick to Musha Cay which was around 2.5 miles from our boat.  A piano and mermaid can be seen on the floor of the ocean in the clear.  We stopped to ask someone where it was and we found it.  Apparently, a musician was commissioned by David Copperfield and completed and installed by acclaimed sculptor Jason de Caires Taylor in 2011. We snorkeled around it.
Somewhere Over the Rainbow

We came back, took a hot shower, had a glass of wine, played the radio and ate dinner before watching a movie.
